No thanks. He's way too old.

    They should get Armie Hammer.

Which is one of the problems that they can address by replacing old man Affleck.

As for Armie Hammer, I see him more as a Hal Jordan type.

He's only one year older than Affleck.

They made a conscious decision for this Batman to be an older man in his 40s. He even has some grey streaks in his hair at points.

I didn't say Affleck was the right age.

Well, too bad for you, then. The DCEU's Batman is older, and will stay that way even through a recast.

This would certainly be better for Hamm's career than generic feel-good stuff like "Million Dollar Arm" and crappy box office bombs like "Keeping Up with the Joneses." :wtf:

Matt Reeves' The Batman is not going to be going 'backwards' in the DCEU timeline, even if Affleck doesn't return.

I can’t answer about "many of us/you" but to me it was painfully obvious. But I’m pretty trained in these sort of things.

Recast Alfred with Hugh Grant while you're at it, and you'd habe a Man Form UNCLE reunion.

Maybe it's just me, but whenever a different actor takes over a role, part of my "suspension of disbelief" goes *poof* and somehow I can't quite accept it as taking place in exactly the same universe.

Probably not—I’ve seen it twice, once in 15/70 IMAX (about as big as it gets) and I barely noticed when I tried. Perhaps to those who have experience in the field, sure (just like I notice many things in academic writing that most people would never see), but hardly a “CGI DISASTER” that some people have pointed too.
    Yep.

I actually prefer Batman to be in his 40s, just as I like the older Tony Stark.
