Well considering we know absolutely nothing else about her at this stage, not even heard her voice, it's hard to see any feasible reason to 'not be a fan' other than the fact she's female.

Yeah, it's fine to dislike episodes, character, etc. I've had my problems with chunks of Moffat's run, early Capaldi episodes, etc but I was judging it after seeing it. This is just knee-jerking, foot stamping, sexism, judging everything based on the fact she is a she and not a he.

But I am pushing back against sexism. I don't see why I should be respectful of a sexist position. I don't see why I should tolerate it.

Totally agreed. And I understand exactly why people are getting upset about reactions like starsuperion has. But the way people are talking back.... It's like fighting fire with fire. Hatred with hatred. Sarcastic comments and the like. If you want to change people's point of view, educate them. Don't belittle them.

Starsuperion is a dickhead. But instead of learning about a differen't way of looking at things, people are basicly bashing him down. How will he ever learn to think differently when the people who could educate him are shouting at him? We need dialogue, not fighting.
