JMS commissioned B5 convention videos

Hadn't seen this posted on this forum before and all this B5 talk in the various threads got me into watching these again.

Back in the days of Babylon 5's production, JMS commissioned a series of music videos that he showed at conventions to pump up the audience. They are now available on youtube from ZTeamProductions.

My favorite, which contains spoilers up to the fourth season for those in the process of watching the series now, is "Babylon 5: Welcome to the Third Age."

Enjoy.

My favorites of these have been and always will be the two tributes videos: one to Andreas Katsulas and to Richard Biggs. They get mentioned here every now and then. Eachis powerful and moving and sentimental ... but in the best way. Richard's uses classic B5 soundtrack music as its background. Andreas' uses a passage called "To the Stars" from the movie "Dragonheart". The author of these - John Hudgens - has a good sense of their substance and what works. Then again he worked closely with jms to create them, which is in itself a nice compliment.

I liked the "I Need A Hero" one. Energetic and upbeat, with fast editing. That's how I like my music videos. A trifle silly also, which helps.

I like the one done to Queen's "Keep Yourself Alive". I've seen it at Dragoncon 2003, but for some sort of legal reason, they can't show it on Youtube.

Asswipes.
