JLA: Crisis on Two Earths.

I liked it overall, though the tie-ins to JLU are like vestigial limbs that don't add much now (particularly the "recruiting drive" ending). J'onn romancing AU-Ravager was kind of creepy; I kept thinking "back off, she's underage!"
James Woods was a fantastic Owlman, and I liked these versions of Batman and Wonder Woman; the others didn't get a whole lot to do (especially Mark Harmon as Superman; if I was a big Super-fan, I'd be disappointed by this movie; he doesn't even get any really big fight scenes).

Well, I liked Crisis alot more than I thought I would; and it was close enough to Timm's JLU that I could accept it as the bridge movie it was originally supposed to be.
What I found most interesting was the new interpretation of Superwoman; she was seemingly meant to be a parallel version of Mary Marvel (hence why her favorite made men would be parallels of Captain Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr. and Uncle Marvel). This idea was reinforced by Wonder Woman finding her own apparent parallel as a stooge of Johnny Quick on the docks.

Why is Hal Jordan the GL and not John Stewart? Is this DVD related to the JLU series or an independent story altogether?

Hal is in it..There are some trying to bridge it with the JLU since it was an unused story from that show..but I don't. To many things are different for it to be the same.
I would just suggest you see it for yourself. I found it to be very well done, great fighting scenes, and great vocal talent. And "the Spectre" short is pretty good too. Worth the $15 or so at your local Walmart/Best Buy store...

I have to say I prefer it over the bare chested look. Certainly helps sell the idea that he's an actual alien and not just some green bloke with weird eyes.
As for the JLU connections, it was originally written to bridge the 'Starcrossed' three parter with 'Initiation' which is why there are a lot of vestigial connections, but yes, it's been developed into a totally standalone movie.
Personally I wouldn't have minded if they'd have just kept it as a straight up JLU movie, but for whatever reason, the didn't. Still, if one were so inclined you can just take the events and assume that more or less the same incident took place in JLU continuity. It's a big multiverse after all.

That's sort of what I'm considering. I've been assembling a DCAU chronology (which I'm not ready to show anyone yet since it's incomplete -- I haven't seen most of The Zeta Project and I'm not certain of the timing details on some shows yet), and I'm wondering if I could include JLA:Co2E between "Star-crossed" and "Initiation" with a note saying that an equivalent sequence of events happened in the DCAU or something like that. But I haven't seen the movie yet (Netflix apparently doesn't get it until a month after release) so I have to wait before I decide. I have heard one spoiler that makes me reluctant to include it, though --
something about Batman knowingly allowing people to die or killing by omission. That seems out of character for the DCAU Batman.

For what it's worth, I didn't see anything from Batman that would seem objectionable.
Are you also going to try to shoe-horn in Public Enemies sometime after S2 of Unlimited?

I thought it was average at best. It had more than a few elements lifted from Watchmen like Owlman and the whole going crazy to destroy everything is the answer. I didnt like the guy who normally does Supemans voice doing Lex. And who did Mark Harmon voice? I couldn't tell?
How is Owlman lifted from Watchmen?
Luthor was voiced by Chris Noth, who has never voiced Superman.
Harmon voiced Superman.

The Watchman owes MUCH of its story to earlier incarnations of the JSA. I had never read the Watchmen, and thought the movie was good, but not ground breaking as many said it was.

Hell, no. Public Enemies was awful. Besides, it's impossible. How could Luthor be president of the US right after his presidential bid completely collapsed and he was thrown in jail? How could Power Girl be there as a heroine right after Galatea, as a major villainess, got severely fried? And how could Hawkman be there before anyone in JLU even met him? (I'm assuming you mean the actual S2, the Cadmus season, rather than the S2 by DVD reckoning, where for some reason they combined the first two seasons into one. I don't see it working after S3 either.)
The character of Owlman as the Crime Syndicate counterpart of Batman (along with Ultraman and Superwoman) was introduced in the comics in 1964, 22 years before Watchmen was written.

I loved PE. Excellent Bats/Supes interaction. Great fight scenes. Luthor finally and irrevocably going round the bend.
I meant after the end of the show (S3, I guess by your counting). Luthor could have returned, paid his dues, etc. I could see him getting a full pardon for his helping stop Darkseid's invasion, meaning he could still run for and become President. Galatea could have "reformed" and become Power Girl during the same time frame. The events in STAS and JL also help explain how the public became so untrusting of supers in general and Superman in particular.
