Bingo. When I wrote the Dark Knight Rises novelization, I wasn't allowed to read the last fifteen pages of the script until right before the book had to go to press, many months after I finished the first draft of the book. And I don't blame Warner for being so secretive. The whole time I was writing that book, websites were announcing top-secret DKR "spoilers" (most of which were total bullshit or wild speculation) almost weekly. "Revealed at last! Plot secrets from The Dark Knight Rises!" If some fans had their way, the entire script would be posted on-line, and critiqued to death, before a movie even started filming. It's madness, I tell you. Madness!
