This film is like the lower intestine: Stinky and full of danger.
According to Carrey it is because he find the idea of rehashing a character he has already done to be less interesting then taking on a new role.
He is actually doing Jenny McCarthy. They have been in a committed relationship over the last few years and consider themselves married to each other, although there has been no ceremony. It seems he is able to reach her autistic son and draw him out to some extent, and that led to their relationship.

Really? Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls is like my favorite guilty pleasure, and much more entertaining than the first film. I would love Jim Carrey to just sell out and do some sequels to some of his greater movies -- a third Ace Ventura and heck, a sequel to Liar, Liar among them.
not exactly what you want, but there is a d2DVD sequel, not featuring Jim Carrey (Ace Ventura Jr, like the Doctor Dolittle d2DVD movies)

Probably my favorite bit in either Ace movie is in that one, when Ace meditates: "Aaaaaaaaaaaaalllrighty then."
Yeah, that movie has a lot of really memorable moments, that mediating one being a favorite.
The only movie I wouldn't mind him doing a sequel of is The Truman Show or a Dumb and Dumber sequel...love that movie. I know they did a prequel but that looked crap.
Another Bruce Almighty would great. I loved that movie. This new one, though, I wont be wasting any money on.
Yep, Truman living on a remote beach with Eve, not realizing that the people in the nearby village (They claimed that they have no TV service so they could claim they never heard of him...) is actually a film crew following (and spying on) him around covertly for a new The Truman Show.
