Jeri Ryan in "Down With Love"

EJA

Fleet Captain
While surfing around on Youtube, I came across a very brief clip of a scene of Jeri Ryan from the 2003 film "Down With Love". She was apparently dressed something like an air stewardess and was speaking with a British accent (!). Anyway, the bit I saw had her saying "I just dropped by for a little sex a la carte", and she sounded quite good! Has anyone seen this film?

Yeah, I think so. I've not actually seen it properly though.
I know of the film but I've never seen the whole thing.

What's ironic, is Jeri Ryan was a huge media icon at the time but the films she played in were pretty questionable.

Can I just take a moment and say that YouTube's search feature SUCKS?

I put in "down with love" IN QUOTES, and it still gives me a page full of songs like "Love Lockdown", "Love Come Down" and "Love You Down". Piece of crap.

That is all. :)

She is still pretty big when she had a notable role in the fairly high profile Shark alongside James Woods - although she's dropped off the radar after having a baby (but hasn't lost her looks).

Dracula 2000 was Agony Booth worthy trash, but Down With Love was relatively likable, harmless fluff. I wish Jeri Ryan was more of a second stringer in big movies, like Colm Meaney. She could easily guest star in NCIS or any CSI series.

Did anyone (besides me) see her when her husband (I think they're married) was on Iron Chef America? She looked lovely. Yet real. It was very cool.

She was great--very real, as you say. I loved how she explained that Christophe brought only one sous chef, not because of his ego, but because they couldn't spare the help and still keep the restaurant open that night.

BTW, excellent restaurant. And he's a sweetheart. Lovely couple.

Here's a picture promoting Shark, which appeared before it aired. I note Jeri's right in the middle. I have the Down With Love DVD somewhere; I should get some screen caps one of these days. It has some funny moments, especially for those dependent on chocolate.

You might want to try typing in "Seven of Nine explores her humanity" - that's where I saw the clip. It splices in a very brief snippet of footage from Voyager, in a funny way. :)

:guffaw:

Yes, I saw the movie Down with Love. It was all right..a little too cheeky..but if you like that kind of movie, by all means watch it. I was rather disappointed in it but really enjoyed Jeri Ryan's character.:) She looked beautiful in that blue stewardest suit.:)

Out of interest, what's Jeri like in Dracula 2000?

It's been a while since I've seen it, but she plays a TV reporter and gets bitten by the vampire early in the film. It's not a big role and she doesn't have a lot to do but she looks great even in fang mode later on.
