Jenna-Louise Coleman

just watched Captain America, no wonder I didn't recall Jenna-Louise, I guessed right she was at the Worlds Fair Expo, but its a small part.

It's interesting that two of the young actresses with tiny roles in that movie, namely Jenna-Louise and Natalie Doermer, have gone on to land fairly prominent roles in tv genre shows (Doermer is in Game of Thrones).

Also interesting that the Dream Lord (Tony Jones) was in the movie, and (according to IMDB) he was in Titanic with her.

all we got to do now is get Hayley Atwell into Doctor Who, she could work for 40s UNIT, and can keep the uniform.

Did I say that out loud?

I notice that she was in Ruby in the Smoke, with Billie Piper (Rose) and Matt Smith (the Doctor), even more of a reason to get her in Doctor Who.

40's Torchwood perhaps, The Brig didn't found UNIT until the 70s. Or 60s :D
can we put her in an Army uniform anyways? or she could be a modern day UNIT operative, who is taken back in time (but not by the Doctor) and "borrows" a uniform to blend in

See thats half the plot right there.

Hayley has done Doctor Who before, for Big Finish.
looking back, that movie is just one big Doctor Who fest.

Still searching IMDB, she was in Mansfield Park with Billie Piper and Michelle Ryan, how has she not been in Doctor Who (proper) at this point?

I wonder if there is any video of her and Matt Smith in Ruby in the Smoke,

His name is Toby Jones, actually, and he's been all over the place the last few years. His most prominent role was probably as Percy Alleline, the director of the Circus in the Gary Oldman film of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, but he's also been in Frost/Nixon, My Week with Marilyn, The Adventures of Tintin, and The Hunger Games (in addition to Captain America and the Titanic/Drownton Abbey miniseries). And, of course, he's probably most famous for providing the voice of Dobby the House-elf in the Harry Potter films.

I approve of this plan.

Titanic is still airing in NZ. We're only halfway through and I only spotted just tonight that JLC was in it (though I did recognise the face but couldn't think where I'd seen her...).

Toby Jones was also in Christopher and his Kind with Matt Smith (plus Lindsay Duncan just to complet a Who Hat-Trick!)

I must be the only red blooded bloke he doesn't have a thing about Haley Atwell in CapAm  I was far more impressed with Amanda Righetti's little cameo in period garb near the end :)

Not to take away from Amanda Righetti, but I cannot even begin to fathom how anyone could not have been completely and utterly enamored of Hayley Atwell in Captain America. That face! Those eyes! That smile! That figure! Be still, my heart.

OMG, The Dream Lord was Dobby's voice? How cool, I learned a new HP fact today, it never occurred to me to find out who did his voice :alienblush:

I thought she was a bit bland (ducks)

This is bland?!

And has this become Jenna-Louise Coleman appreciation thread?

^with the last few posts it's become the Hayley Atwell Appreciation thread.

Apparently so, though at least Hayley has that Doctor Who connection (in fact I recall her mentioning during one of her Captain America press interviews that she'd just recorded a new one for Big Finish) so it's not too far off topic.

I'm partway through the first episode of Titanic. Good show, though my workload has made me put it aside for now. At least in that first episode JLC stands out. For one thing, so far she's playing one of the only likeable characters in the show!

I too picked up the Titanic minniseries becasue Jenna-Louise Coleman is in it but I haven't seeing it yet. And I too have fallen for Hayley Atwell and would love to see her on Doctor Who as well.
