Oh man, and I just got over laughing about Jedi-ism from reading about them on Wikipedia

If he was a real Jedi, he would've just "told them" that he didn't need to remove his hood.![]()
And here we have one of the reasons I stopped going to conventions and have pulled out of fandom for the most part: People just take this stuff way to seriously. Stuff like this just gives me a "okay, that's just fucking creepy" vibe.
Fine he wants to believe like a Jedi, have fun, more power to him. But don't expect people to take it anymore serious than people take fans that like dressing up in Stormtrooper armor or Starfleet uniforms.
Far too strict. Rebel Leigion too. ... same thing, different side of the coin.I wonder if this guy's Jedi robes were 501st approved. They got some strict standards.
They go off on me for not having a cloak made of XXX fabric, I go off on them for having a mass produced lightsaber hanging on their belt. (my own lightsaber for costuming is a custom piece, 1 of a kind.. made it myself. That usually gets em to shut up.)
They do, but theyre not the droids youre looking for.Do they sell droids in Tesco.![]()
Here's what I don't get about this whole thing, and those goons who put "Jedi" as their reigion on census forms-
Is Jedi a religious thing in Star Wars?
The Jedi's are an order, a peacekeeping organization. Yes they believe in what one might call religious beliefs, but thats called The Force. Putting "Jedi" as your religion would be like putting "Vicar" as your religion.
I probably sound more geeky than they do now, but it always annoys me
im not sure that says something good about TescoTesco did what the Sith have never been able to do in thousands of years, they defeated the Jedi!

Totally. Those dudes can be so anal it makes Orthodox Jews look like naked hippies.

I went to a comic convention about a month ago and the 501st/Rebel Legion had a panel. I'm not big into costuming, but I was curious to see if they could give any interesting tips or tricks, so I went to it.
Instead, the entire panel was about what you have to do to make a costume worthy enough for them. And it was mostly stupid stuff too. Like if a costume was a particular color shade, it had to be that shade. If it was off, no sale. I was very put off by that.
They were nice, but had a strong sense of arrogance. At one point, they claimed their costumes were better than the ones used in the movie (although, another member then quickly covered by saying that was because the movie costumes are used once, so the effort that would go into making a long-term use costume wasn't needed).
I realize for a costuming group like that, standards are important, but they just go too far.
Since when does being a Jedi require you to cover your head? A religion that has readily available canon and he can't even get it right.
Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

And they got double Clubcard points for doing it too.
