Jayru (JSnaith's) 3D Trek

Heck, in RL, two ships of the same class built at the same shipyard can be wildly different, even if they have the same specs.

Cheers,

Of course, different teams are going to put different touches to each ship. In truth, we have ships that we bunch into classes - but no two of them are the same. Trek/Wars and a lot of other sci-fi shows fall into the trap of reusing the same models over and over again. This leads to this misconception that every Excelsior is the same as the other, that every Constitution is identical to the last. We, here, know that they are not. Aside from the external differences, there are going to be internal one ones too. Oh things like the bridge and main engineering are going to occupy the same areas on each ship, but something like briefing room one could be on a different deck depending on each ship, lol.

The deck plans are kicking my backside. I am going to rethink how I do them. My drawing skills are not what they used to be. They are so bad I am not even happy to share what I have. I have an idea how to do them in another medium - let me play and see what happens.

More soon

Decks A, B & C -

I'll save you counting, 150 beds = 150 crew

Comments welcome, more soon

Redo of A,B and C got rid of the inner ring corridor, no need for it. Lost four crew quarters as a result, but... Worth it. So currently have enough space for 146 crew -

Working on Deck D - so more soon! (Comments and the like welcome)

PS:
No, I will not do deck plans for any other ship. This has been a pain to do. I junked the original ones I created in PSP and have started again, and again. Just doing them for this ship only ;-) LLAP

Total bunks for crew still stands at 160

Breaking it down, B is where the officer quarters are. C is where the crew and NCO quarters are. D is where the specialists and guest quarters are.

B: 15 Senior Officer Quarters, 36 Officer Quarters.
C: 15 NCO Quarters, 40 Crew Quarters (Double bunked).
D: 14 Specialist/Guest Quarters.

Ok, I know that the NCO and Senior Officer quarters are the same. I figure an NCO would have earned the extra space over time served. Convince me I'm wrong ;-)

Guest and Specialist quarters are the largest, as they should be. I reckon 4 would be assigned for Guests, so would normally be empty. The other 10? This is a science ship, so some assigned civilians make sense. In fact if you watch Star Trek III, you will see a civilian manning a console on the bridge of the Grissom :)

Decks E & F are up next. Lots of new assets to create, but it will be worth it

Comments welcome, more soon :techman:

Yes we are great work loving the deck plans :techman::techman::techman::techman::techman:
Thank you!

Thank you!

I should add the caveat that these deck plans are for this ship only, they won't fit a standard Oberth. But that's ok. Can report that E Deck is almost done, and will be getting a key so you know what is what. It's a bit of a messy mix, but it all makes sense. And then onto F Deck.

And after that... I may put a crew together and post a story about the Eujisan on Wattpad :techman: I may also do a cross-section of the pod. But don't hold me to that. 43 days away from having to stop for a few months.
