Jason Issacs put a time lapse video of himself getting his face cast in a make up chair, adding:

"The things we do for love. And Starfleet."

So what are we thinking about this??

Face casts are done for a lot of reasons, and we're a long way in for initial makeup tests. Could be that they need a mannequin of him for a story, or there's a story requiring injury prosthetics or something.

I wondered about it being for a burn/injury/decapitation of some kind. Also didn't know if it was a recent test, or something done a while ago but only just released?
