Any idea how much it has taken in Japan and what has been said in Japan Nedia?

Any Japanese people here?

What did the Japanese reviews say about the film? Any translations?

No idea what media comments there have been.

As a comparison, Angels & Demons did $7,192,803 on 722 screens.

Not quite the same, but I'm in Korea and someone told me newspapers called it a little "childish" and seemingly agreed with my assessment that the movie had good characters, but a rather lame plot. I don't think it's exactly setting the box office on fire in Asia like it is in North America, but I reckon it's doing well enough. A co-worker of mine said she enjoyed it and in the movie theatre where I saw it, there was an Korean guy explaining who Old Spock was to his date, so it does have fans in Asia.
