What is with many Trek fans and the reset button? Many of them are ridiculously fanatical in their dislike of it. It's stupid.

It practically eliminates the need for continuity. People like the feeling that things are changing over time. It's about emotional investment.

How many times in Farscape did people change from being the good guy to being the bad guy or totally reverse the plot? Virtually nothing remained the same through the entire series.
