James T Kirk school of overacting???

Shatner did not overact in the 60's. His acting style is a product of the 60's, and comes from stage experience. I watch a lot of older sf and horror movies, and you can see the same sort of performances from John Agar to Christopher Lee.

Love Shatner. Love the Risk Speech and pretty much all S1 and S2 Kirk. Love Pollak's affectionate take -- on -- the -- overlyexaggeratedstyle.

All of the above make for great entertainment.
