I stood next to a lifesize cardboard cutout of Captain Kirk and my first thought was, "there's no way he's that tall."

I'm 5'9" and it was a good 3-4" taller than me

I also saw a promo poster for I think TMP and KIrk and Spock were standing back-to-back and they were both the same height.
Look we must all be wrong. Cardboard cut out and promo-poster can't be mistaken.

One entry on that blog shows a pair of Shat TMP footwear with a nearly 2" heel, so Shat's at least an inch shorter than he appears in many shots in that movie, How tall Kirk is is a different matter.

I just assumed that everybody was taller in the 23rd century so Kirk is actually 6'2" and Rand is 6". ;-p
