News James Gunn rebooting Starsky and Hutch for Sony TV

I'd forgotten that there was a short-lived Kokak revival with Ving Rhames, while Vin Diesel is also supposed to be doing a film version. And there was the Rockford Files with Dermot Mulroney and talk of a film version with Vince Vaughn.

 

There should be a massive crossover miniseries featuring all the characters from 1970s TV shows. I'm sure the licensing/clearances would be a delight.

Never heard of it before. It is only shown on Alibi in the UK, apparently. Not a big fan of police procedurals nowadays anyway unless they're Scandinavian so I'll pass. Thanks.

If the one of the staple standby genres for TV shows, "cop drama", now has to resort to reboots of long-buried shows that had to work to build their names...?
