James Callis Joins 17th PRECINCT

On Fairy Legal, we have Sam Anders, Joe Adama, Evelyn Adama, Jordan Durham, Odin Sinclair... and for good measure, Jack O'Neill!!!
So it's partially a Stargate reunion too, with Teryl Rothery there? All they need is Robert Picardo and Jeri Ryan and it's a multi-franchise convention!

I like multi-franchise conventions much better than leaning heavily on any one show. Bring on Terry O'Quinn, Ben Browder and Ron Glass (where has he vanished to?) And for that matter, where's Andrew Robinson? Can we lure Zachary Quinto back to TV sometime soon, I miss him. :(

Well, Terry O'Quinn and Michael Emerson are in Odd Jobs, so he's probably a little busy to join 17th Precinct.

^ Terry O'Quinn isn't in anything. Michael Emerson is doing a TV show with Jim Caviezel.

Man, Ron Moore must have some incriminating photos of some bigwig execs at NBC Universal. Guy and his team (David Eick) got the worst track record of any showrunner this side of the last decade and still gets work. Ruining a beloved surefire show (NuBSG), making sure Bionic Woman was boring as fuck and then make Caprica have no absolute direction and getting cancelled even before one season, it sure doesn't feel like a winning team to me!

Eick ruined Bionic Woman on his own, so I don't think you can criticize Moore for that. Caprica was run by a couple showrunners, including Jane Espenson. It wasn't run by Moore, whose contribution was co-writing the pilot episode and directing another episode (which he didn't write).

Battlestar Galactica...well, that was all RDM. But I think it went fine, so no sour grapes there.

Well, Terry O'Quinn and Michael Emerson are in Odd Jobs, so he's probably a little busy to join 17th Precinct.

Sadly, that show will never happen. :(

RDM is probably still coasting along on the glow of having the most wildly critically lauded sci fi series in a long time. Only Lost got as much praise and I'm sure anyone associated with Lost can also write their own ticket.

Sasha Roiz is a traitor and has joined the competition!

Caprica co-star Sasha Roiz has booked the last series regular role in NBC's drama pilot Grimm, a dark but fantastical cop drama about a world in which characters inspired by Grimm’s Fairy Tales exist. It centers on Nick Burckhardt (David Giuntoli), a detective who starts to see humans as beast/animals and discovers that he has a legacy - to protect "humans" from these beasts.
Grimm should draft a bunch of the Caprica vets, that would be fun. Like BSG, there are many actors who I'd love to see again in anything - the main adult actors plus Allessandra Toressini.

Roiz was the standout actor on Caprica, so I'm happy to see him land on his feet. I'm not sure I'm that interested in the show he's on, either, however. We'll see.
