Jadzia or Ezri?

Well both of them were badly written characters. But Ezri showed some promise. Nicole DeBoer was a real actress. There was just not enough time to develop Ezri more. She could be better. If they have not wasted episodes about her Dynastry type family...

Jadzia...please don't open that matter. She was just awful. Weakest link of DS9 crew. Terry Farell couldn't act no matter what. And her character was same all time. Playing Tongo , pining after all men of DS9 or holosuite then Worf. They didn't even have a chemistry...

I ticked Ezri on both accounts.

How anyone can say Nicole De Boer was better looking than Terry Farrell (yes folks they were actors, the characters dont exist) has a screw loose, Farrell is one of the most beautiful women in the world, and De Boer was, as someone else said, just a little too boyish....

Jadzia was the better character simply because there were 6 years of development from the writers. I thought Ezri had lots of potential, especially given the rocky beginnings to her joining.

But Ezri's just unbelievably cute...

Jadzia on both counts. As I recently said in another thread, it's true that Terry Farrell's acting was at times dreadful in the beginning -- like Michael Dorn as Worf -- but her skills improved with time.

Nicole deBoer is cute, but I'm more attracted to Farrell. I also found Ezri's character annoying. It was an interesting idea -- a symbiont placed in the first approprite donor without adequate preparation -- but deBoer didn't quite pull it off for me.

How much more interesting would it have been if the next Dax had been a man? Imagine Worf's -- and Bashir's -- reaction then!

I voted Jadzia on both counts. I also agree Nicole DeBoer is very cute but it's not enough for me. Jadzia was a lot more interesting, more... subtle. I mean, sometimes, you could see when it was Dax speaking, and when it was Jadzia (despite the fact they're supposed to be a unique personality). I liked that.

I loved Jadzia's eyes too.

If I had the choice, I think I would vote for mirror Ezri on both counts. I think she showed more in "The Emperor's New Cloak" than regular Ezri did in the parts of season 7 that I have seen. I never particularly warmed to Jadzia... a little too... Type A?

I know you are an ensign, but you really shouldn't dredge up threads this old. There are several threads about Ezri going right now where you could have made this comment.
