I think initially they were trying to do that, but the better relationship ended up being Julian and Miles. That's the closest thing to a gay relationship that Star Trek will ever really have.

I didn't mind them. but he was pretty much a child. she was bored with him right after they first met. besides, Ezri was a better match for Julian. at least, she took him seriously.

I'd say it could've been interesting perhaps, but only once he'd stopped being his semi-bumbling arrogant/naive self and she'd gotten Errol Flynn'd. Unfortunately, Worf actually made a better match... although...

If it had been Jadzia/Julian instead of Jadzia/Worf, would we have gotten more development of Jadzia and less rehashing of Curzon the Klingon? Hmm...

Julian/Ezri was cute and worked well... but otoh, I think the way their relationship develops in TrekLit and the explanation for it makes a lot of sense too...

I don't even think that Julian and Ezri should be together. I always thought that relationship was kind of creepy. Kind of like hitting on your dead spouse's brother or sister.

No, he worked much better with Ezri, they were both young and free spirits unlike Jadzia who seemed to be weighed down and dull.

In Shattered Mirror they do get together, so at least in the alt universe they are. But Worf and Jadzia are my fav Trek couple so I voted no as well.

You know, having rewatched the episode the other day, that thought dawned on me, too. Jadzia is nothing like what Julian wants her to be. He's actually in love with his imagination of her, and not the real Jadzia. That's another reason why I never thought they'd make a good couple.
