I've Got Blisters On Me Fingers!

Thanks for all the great advice guys. I'll try barring first, and then see about switching keys. I don't mind that it's a difficult song -- I'm the jump right in there type, and will bore easily if the music I try to learn doesn't get progressively more complicated.
I like your singing but you need to belt it out, breathing with your stomach helps you to project your voice more. I'm not trying to be critica, I just want to HEAR you!
Actually, I'm an expert at singing loud! I think the recording just didn't pick up my voice very well because I am sitting rather far from the webcam, and looking down (I'm trying to get away from the habit of staring at my fingers while I play). I'll sit closer next time.

I'm finally able to upload my contribution to this thread. It's my cover of "Tripoli" by Matthew Good. The singing was recorded while I was a little sick. Pay more attention to the guitar playing

Here ya go.

Wonderful! Thank you for sharing. You're inspiring me to pick up my guitar again. My problem is that I am a (I've termed myself) Mutually Exclusive Polymath: I am an athlete, a scientific autodidact, a painter, a musician, etc. but I can't seem to do more than one thing at a time. Right now I'm hyper-focused on painting. I've been churning out canvass after canvass for about three weeks, but haven't picked up my guitar at all in over a month. Alas!
