Maybe this was mentioned up thread, I don't recall and the thread's getting too long to reread everything, but if Cumberbatch is Khan, while the Starfleet clothes are explainable, what about his Starfleet sideburns? Before everything apparently went terribly bad, did Khan get a shave and a haircut aboard the Enterprise?

Good points. That's because he probably isn't Khan, but what the hell do I know? I just have a set of eyes.![]()

Come to think about it, I don't think Cumberbatch's eyes are the right color, either. By the way, forget Klingon ridges, this movie better explain why Kirk's eyes are the wrong color!
I'm not sure if Khan in Trek: XII is more "Sombrero" or "Blue Warp Nacelles."
Thankfully, no white British actor has played somebody of Sikh heritage since the 1970's...
or Indian, or Chinese, Japanese etc.
Should be pretty obvious why nobody would revive that... even to get a cheap laugh.
Kirk Lazarus.
:If it turns out that Khan is NOT in the movie...a lot of people here are gonna look kind of silly.

Looking silly on teh Interwebz is not something which is of any concern to me. Ever.
As I have mentioned before, why does THIS Khan necessarily need to have Indian/Sikh heritage? Maybe he was just raised in India, but had British parents.

Inriguing theory...with one major loophole. Nero's alteration of the timeline only goes back as far as 2233, not the 20th century. Khan in the Prime timeline was a native Sikh who was born in India. Why would Khan Singh himself change unless someone had altered 20th century history?
