It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia season premiere

My favourite of all time is still "Dennis and Dee Go On Welfare" - I've watched it a dozen times and still crack up at just about every scene.

Yeah, it did. But Preston and Steve are actually quite funny, so I forgive it slightly (although it really just makes me wish to listen them instead of watch a fairly mediocre episode).

My favourite of all time is still "Dennis and Dee Go On Welfare" - I've watched it a dozen times and still crack up at just about every scene.

That was the first episode I ever saw...one night I was channel surfing and stopped on the episode, specifically the scene where Dennis and Dee are sitting on a stoop, drinking and listening to Biz Markie's "Just a Friend." The episode just got more messed up from there...and I became a big fan of the show.

I felt like maybe I needed to be from Philly to get whatever the joke might have been.

Someday, somehow, Dennis and Dee are going to accidentally have sex. What season will that happen in?

Sadly, I'm from Philly and I'm not sure what the joke was supposed to be. I just assumed it was Mac is a jackass who doesn't know how to shoot a puck and Denis and Dee's bickering is funny unless it's forced.

That's really about it. Extremely superficial and not quite jokes. There wasn't really any overall theme or direction, it just sort of meandered from beginning to the end while taking the easy way out for most jokes.

I think it's funny that after all these years, they still don't know the waitresses name.
They just call her "The Waitress".

I also laughed my ass off at Crickets neck vagina joke.

Now that was more like it! The episodes really live or die depending on whether they're written by people who get the characters.

Mac and Charlie trapped in an empty pool. So simple, yet so very effective. Best part: Charlie's voodoo interruptions of Mac's attempt at prayer for some dead childhood friend neither of them gives a shit about or has thought about in 20 years.

^^

No way, Best part was: "Those are token Black people that you parade around like a bunch of dancing monkey's.":guffaw:

Agreed. This was another exercise in sheer madcap lunacy, much like the rest of seasons 4-6, but unlike the hockey episode last week, this time it was actually funny! Temis is right - I think the writing credits have a lot to do with it (although I didn't recognise the name of the guy who wrote this week).

They're batting 4-for-5 this season, IMO, which is definitely a step up.

I really enjoy how depraved all the characters are on this series, but this season definitely isn't as funny as years past. Part of the problem could very well be watching The League afterwards. It's funnier than Sunny has been in a while (certainly, anytime this season).

I liked this episode more. Not up to par with the earlier stuff but much better than last season and so far the best of this season.

Aside from the dog whose eye you have to pop back in with your knuckle, I found last night's episode pretty unfunny.
