It's a great day to be alive

I'm a little mortified by my idiot thread last night and nursing a bit of a headache. Man, do I wish there was a "delete thread" button. :alienblush:

So lets go to the other spectrum...

Travis Tritt keeps telling me through my iPod that it's a great day to be alive. And I thought, he's right.

It's beautiful and sunny outside.
Myself and my loved ones are all healthy (including my dog).
I have a good job.
My divorce finally came through a couple months ago.
I'm getting back into some hobbies that I've allowed to fall by the wayside.
And my financial situation has improved leaps and bounds past what it was at the beginning of the year.

So tell me, why is it a great day for YOU to be alive? :)

For the first time in about five days, I am pain free.

Of course I have therapy later this afternoon, so that will change. However, there's always tommorrow.

I'm sorry, this is the total *opposite* of what you intended with this thread, but I can't help it! I read the first few words of the thread title, and this is what immediately popped into my head:

Nope, I'm here bugging the tar out of you, and so is everyone else posting. ;) If they're here and they're being a pain, then it's a good day because they are here.

The way I look at it life is full of rooms and who you share your room with and how you chose to do it make life worth living. My room is full of Nerds and Geeks. Who can as for anything better?

I can't! :D

There is an old saying that I incorporated into my philosophy quite some time ago:

"Every day above ground is a good day."

Now, don't you dirty bastards pounce on that and start talking about spelunkers and miners and any other kind of underground shit.:guffaw:

It's a great day to be alive because I am alive. ;)

Indeed! The board would be weird without the iguana!

I just cut my dedicated server bill by 2/3. That means more money for me. Time to splurge...

We expect to see the results of a splurge mentioned in the most recent purchase thread.

Any day I wake up is a good day to be alive.

Amen to that!

Any day without pain is a great day, for sure.

That was funny! Thanks for posting it!

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't read it.

I'll take whatever I can get. :rommie:

It is a great day. It's 2 PM and I've yet to get dressed.

My hangover made me jealous of this post.

I spent 15 minutes in the subway this morning, but that didn't impact my great day.

I'm a naturally happy person. I know people from The Nameless Place reading this will boggle but it's true. I always find something to be happy about. I love my life. Sure it has boring bits and tragic bits but it's a great life.

I woke up this morning not sick in any way, I was able to work out and study, I exchanged pleasantries with several random strangers, I saw my brother and his fiancee, and I've had a nice evening of Futurama and fireworks with my husband. I have a final exam tomorrow, but yes, it's a great day to be alive! :)
