ITPM: What DID Sisko tell Starfleet?

First of all: It is our opinion to disagree, I can dislike Sisko if I want to... And I corrected the spelling,

Second: Sisko WAS a part of TNG and he WAS a minor character in the two part episode against Locutus of Borg... like many... In command of a Starship.

Third: I didn't think so... I found his character was a bit wishy washy. And we can disagree or agree. It is JUST an opinion. His character was not as strong as the others. Like Riker, Picard, Kirk, Spock or any others. I would love to see a timeline on this guys career. See what kind of officer he was at the Academy.

Four: What politics, He reminded me of our president or even a current unnamed Senator/Campaignee for President.

So sue me.... Sheesh... RELAX That is ALSO my opinion.

I think you are referring to the flashback scenes in Emissary, the 1st episode of DS9. He did not appear in the TNG BOBW 2 parter.

He really is Carl Spock of Vulcan, hes a gigalo and seduced the romulans with promise of real vulcan pot...

Who knows... Like Starfleet would believe him anyway and he had any say. Cisco's credibility in starfleet got shot to hell when Picard was captured by the Borg... And I think Cisco leading the fleet let it get shot to hell... (i don't remember exactly)

The only reason Cisco would have got sent to a ground assignment on a starbase... Keep him out of Starfleet's hair and out of trouble for a while.

Just my two cents.

What in the blue hell are you talking about? Why are you in a DS9 forum having never watched an episode

Sisko was a lt. cmdr on a ship, I think second in command at the start of emissary.

I figured he told them just what it looked like: The Dominion blew up the senators ship and that caused the Romulans to enter the war.

Sisko was the First officer of the Saratoga.

He never appeared in TNG so wan't a character at all. DS9 established that he was at the battle of Worf 359, which was never shown on TNG as well.

Sisko's time at the academy as not much bearing on his style in DS9. He got married, had a kid, lost his wife and was a single parent...he has probably "lived" the most out of the characters you have mentioned.

Exactly how does Sisko remind you of GW Bush or the candidate you won't mention, which I also don't quite get why you won't name?

^^I'm guessing what he's trying to say is: Sisko was in the battle at WORF359, so thru degrees of seperation the minute Sisko & Picards paths crossed Sisko shared a moment in TNG history.

However, I don't understand his logic of how Sisko is responsable for the events that happened at WORF359.

Frankly, reading between the lines I get: "I hate Sisko, so I'm going to blame anything & everything I don't like whether it makes sense or not on him."

Move along folks, nothing to see here.

I'm not one given over to throwing insults right off the bat, but geeze, you're an idiot!

First of all, why would Sisko's credibility be shot to hell due to Wolf 359? As far as Starfleet is concerned, anyone who fought at Wolf 359, living or dead, is a hero. Sisko included. Being a veteran of the Battle of Wolf 359 would only make Starfleet pay more attention to what Sisko had to say, not less (Nevermind that, by that point, he'd proven himself as an able commander a thousand times over).

Second, Sisko wasn't in command of the fleet. As has been mentioned, he was only a Lieutenant Commander, and served as the 1st Officer aboard the Saratoga, which was just one ship out of a 39 ship fleet. The commander of the fleet was Admiral Hanson.

Third, even if he had been in command of the fleet, Sisko wouldn't have been held accountable. It was a no-win situation. The Borg were simply to powerful. Add to that the knowledge of Starfleet weapons and tactics that the Borg gained from Picard, and they were practically unstoppable. So even if Sisko had been in command, Starfleet wouldn't have considered it a blemish on his record. Under those same circumstances, even Kirk would've lost that battle.

So frankly, sir, you're full of it.
