It looks like the Terminator: Salvation ending rumors where true!

So, my question then, IF THIS IS TRUE, is this now alternate ending going to be on the DVD and what will the new ending be?

Seems they shot the alternate ending for just this purpose. That it would be received poorly. Kudos for trying to make a philosophical statement but imo it was an overreach.

*Wonders if that T-RIP bust will still come out, and if it had showed this...*

The T-RIP is a T-800. The name has been changed for this film. This was revealed by accident in promotional material released by Playmates toys.

Wow, that would have been a ballsy move. Maybe too ballsy

For some reason, this whole situation is making me more excited.

My confidence level in this movie has dropped a couple of notches. If that foolishness was originally in the script and they thought it was a good idea before it was leaked, what other crap is in there that is equally bad that we don't know about?

I'm curious, why are people so completely against that ending? Is it just too bold for what is supposed to be a relatively brainless, sci-fi Hollywood action movie? Is predictable all you really want when it comes to Terminator?

I mean, I do get a sense of that myself. But, I don't think the ending is so fundamentally horrible as people here do.

I don't get why people don't like this either. We've seen that Terminators can be good (if reprogrammed). But the idea that a Terminator is taking on the identity of the leader of the worldwide resistance against SkyNet to give humanity a hope for the future and not let morale completely die is a pretty neat idea.
