It had to be...you!

I'll probably be going with my dad. He won't want to go on opening weekend though so I may have to go by myself before that. My girlfriend had said she would go with me but then she dumped me, hah.

Okay people; its time to start figuring out who will have the honor of seeing this new movie with you. My wife has calle dibs, but I am seriously thinking about sneaking out to see it at the 12am showing...

Then again, maybe not. If she found out I did see it with out her, it could be the end of our marriage!!! you know women!!!...

My son, 5 year old, wants to see it too. But I will not take him on that first showing, and to be kind, I will take him at the 1030am showing. By the way, if you see movies at 1030am, do expect kids to be there running around...

However, if you're one of those people who brings five year olds to movies at 10pm??? You're kids should be taken from you...forever!!!

Okay...so who will you all be seeing XI with for that first time...and you know what they say..there is nothing like the first time.

Rob

Most likely myself, my wife and my stepdaughter. I might also go see it with my sisters and one of their husbands at some point.

RAMA

I have a good friend who is a Trekkie and an X-Men fan, so we will be going opening night for Wolverine and then we will turn around the next week and hit Star Trek. However, if I have anyone I'm interested in, I might try to get her to come along...

I have a group of friends who I will probably go with, and my wife will go with me also. At least, that will be true for a Friday night showing. If I go the midnight showing (which I'm thinking about) I've got one buddy who might go with me, but there's a good chance I'd be going alone for that one.

If I'm dating someone in May I'll ask if they'd like to go with me. If not, it'll be close friends. Maybe both. We'll see.

I'll be seeing this with my good friend Ira. We're the only sci fi guys within our group of friends - we have man dates every Friday night to watch Galactica so we're having a man date for Trek XI. Mmmmmm, man date.

My girlfriend will not be attending.

it was always gonna be my dad. if anyone else wants to come along, they can. but my dad was and always will be my Trek-Comrade.

PS. my niece is 8 and might want to see it as she's fast becoming a Trekkie AND a Star Wars addict (she's seen all the Clone Wars eps so far). do you guys think it's okay for an 8-year-old to see this thing? what about that scene with Kirk and the Orion woman? is this gonna be PG-13 etc?

My mother, stepdad, three younger brothers,
my best friend and his girlfriend, and a couple
of friends from Oregon are all coming over to
see it in IMAX at the midnight showing.

The impression I get is that it should be fine. If I recall correctly, there was an interview with Pine that says the movie will get "steamy" but it won't get into full-on sex land. I would suggest going with your dad, and if you deem it appropriate and worth a review, take the niece to it. But, it's Trek, so I doubt it'll get all that bad.

okay, thanks. my dad and I are going for the first showing. then, it'll be my SO, with his sister, and my bro and sis-in-law. I think the kids might accompany us, unless they wanna go to Chuck-E-Cheese instead. I'll be seeing it for the third time again with some of my Trekkie friends here in DC.

figure that's enough ;)

Don't know. Used to go with my kids, now they're 'old enough' to be embarrassed going to a flick with their Dad. Maybe they'll go.

Used to take them to all the ST flicks, and SW. Miss those days.

I'll probably go with friends after I've already gone to the 12am showing :D

it's going to be a great week with Transformers 2 coming out on the 2nd and Star Trek on the 8th
I'm taking vacation that week :D

my bad . . . Transformers comes out June 26
don't know why I thought it was the 2nd . . .

I know ONE thing. I'm smuggling outside snacks and food into the film. Even if my pockets look like I have gigantism of the scrotum.

I went to INSURRECTION and at least one of the SW prequels with my jacket pockets loaded with Skittles and BBQ snacks.:p With movie concession stand snacks costing ridiculous amounts most of the time, I'd much rather look like a felony shoplifter with enormous bulges in my clothing than blow thirty bucks to see one movie.
