First Bernie Mac, now him. I just read on the IMDB that both Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes are in a movie together later this year called Soul Men. Looks like this movie is even more cursed than the Dark Knight.

The BBC's article is either really badly written or incredibly biased, linking Isaac's membership of Scientology to completely unrelated charitable acts:

In 1993 he became involved with Scientology and within two years had established the Isaac Hayes Foundation aimed at increasing literacy across the globe.

Um. What.

Anyway, don't want to derail thread into another anti-scientology discussion. Mr Hayes was a great musician and a great humanitarian, even if he did get involved with a shady cult.

Triple? We're way beyond a triple with all the celebrity deaths lately.

Rest in peace, Isaac Hayes. You were a bad mutha... shut your mouth!

I'm talking about in a period of 3 days. They all seem to come in bunches, and the pattern lately has been in threes.

Actually it hasnt. The three thing is a superstitious myth. They have died in threes and fours after a period of a week or a week and a half or longer. Plus when some people think the third one just died they always seem to overlook that some lesser celebrity had died within that period also just to prove the three theory.(Ex.Allan Melvin(Sam the butcher) Estelle Getty just died a couple of weeks ago. Should we count that as one of the three. Plus tons of singers, athletes have died this month alone.
People tend to bend the deaths of celebrities to fit the three mold.
