Is there a person in ST you're not fond of in reality, but hold back.

So let me state this is not a bashing thread. I am not going to state my reasons for my response or attack them.....

But we're humans and do have feelings so I'm wondering is there someone associated with Star Trek in any capacity in any franchise, from the highest suits at Paramount, down to the gaffer, that you have, say less than warm feelings towards, but you'd never let it all fly on here because of the arguments it would start and the fact you might get skewered like a shish kabob.

It could be for any reason. Maybe you don't like something they did to Star Trek, maybe you have read, seen and/or heard enough about them personally to feel a certain negative way about them.

Hell maybe you were at Ikea one day and there was a prime parking spot opening up and you were waiting with your signal and as soon as the car left Avery Brooks zipped in from the side and took the space. So whatever the reason.

All I'm trying to do is see if people do have these feelings and if they want to name who fine. If you choose to let out all the dirty details, that's your fault and don't blame me. Also if someone says they don't like Jeri Ryan and you feel she's the finest person to ever walk the face of the earth and you explode on that person....again that's your decision and not what I was asking.

So please try to keep it short with no attacks. I know this is treading lightly but I think it's fair to let people at least say a name and hope we can keep it at that.

Well if I'm going to start this thread I may as well start big.

I fully recognize he created the whole thing and deserves total credit for that. Don't care for Gene Roddenberry though.

Don't know any of them in real life.

It is possible you know to have a strong impression or feeling about someone without actually knowing them.

I've never met Lindsay Lohan, yet I still have a strong impression of her that I think is justified and she's not someone I would want my daughter to aspire to be like.

I fear this is going to turn into a bashing thread about people who aren't here to defend themselves, and who may even be dead, so they can't log in to defend themselves either.

Re: Is there a person in ST you're not fond of in reality, but hold ba

OTOH, being dead they probably don't care. And if by some chance they are capable of caring, they may well be in an enviable position to haunt the offending poster. ;)

Clarence Ebert... the second company grip on Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Guy just pisses me off. It would've been a better remembered movie if we had a better second company grip.

This thread is non-sense.

This thread makes me think of a creature that hates billy goats.

So it ISN'T just me! I really do not like this guy at all, either -and nobody should- especially if you know how he got his job. Apparently, second company grips advance by assassinating their predecessor! Awful!

Just kidding. Can not think of anyone that I am not fond of in Trek, nor do I think I have any experience sufficient to offer an opinion.

Be that as it may, I'm sure that he doesn't go out of his way to do a bad job, no matter how many extramarital affairs he may have...

Hey, let's not forget about that Unicorn Dog in "The Enemy Within." Total diva on the set, constantly demanding script changes and fretting about what his "motivation" was. And talk about substance-abuse issues; I'm not naming names, but somebody had a serious dog-biscuit problem.

And even hornier than a Mugato, if you know what I mean . . . .

Dennis Bailey cut me off in traffic once* and I have never forgiven him.

There, I've said it.

* Disclaimer: Statement may actually be a total lie.

Travis Mayweather is the Moriarty to my Holmes. The Moby Dick to my Ahab. The...Captain to my Tennille...whatever. You get my point.

Armus. That guy's always in a foul mood, dont even try to get an autograph, and don't let him sit on your furniture.

Never invite the Horta over to a housewarming . . . at least if you value your floors.

Jerk.

You know what smartass? For all the time and posts you out in here I rarely you see try and get an actual conservation going by making a statement or taking a stand on something. You usually just wait around until you see something in a thread you don't like or don't agree with and jump off on it. Or wait until you see something you agree with with and say "Yeah you're right"

Sorry this one offended you. Sorry if it was a bad call on my part. I tried it didn't work life goes out on.

Why don't you step up to the plate sometime and say something you know you might catch a lot of heat from others for instead of being that guy two rows from the top of the stadium saying. I can't believe he couldn't hit that pitch. Man he sucks.

Re: Is there a person in ST you're not fond of in reality, but hold ba

Okay, I have to ask: What supposed to the point of this thread anyway, except to encourage cheap shots at real people?

Maybe that wasn't the intent, but it felt like the Trekkie version of the "burn book" in MEAN GIRLS. "Hey, let's make a list of all the people we don't like!"

Re: Is there a person in ST you're not fond of in reality, but hold ba

Yeah, we're not doing this.
