I wasn’t around when TOS was first on, but it’s my favorite Trek series. It actually wasn’t on TV that much for a while during the ‘90s so getting to see a few episodes here and there felt very exciting. I think the Big Three of that series works so well and TOS had great sci-fi writers as well.

My first Trek was TNG, but my favourite is DS9. I didn't like TOS the first time I watched it, but over the years it's grown and grown on me, and recently even took second spot and now TNG is #3.

I was 9 when TOS first aired: definitely my favorite...but I gotta say TNG did end up with a piece of one of my Klingon hearts...

(I know there is some debate over whether Klingons have one or two hearts...I am in the Two-Heart Universe)

Ehhhh. I grew up with Deep Space Nine and it's always been my favorite, but now there's Strange New Worlds. I love DS9, but damn if SNW doesn't serve up competition. I love almost all the cast, especially Pike & La'an.

I started watching Trek in 1998, so at that time TOS and TNG were in reruns, DS9 was coming towards the end and VOY was really the current show. DS9 became my favorite and VOY a close second.

Nope. A new show can indeed win hearts more than the original. Maybe at the time it is first aired. Maybe years later, something goes *click* - like that cuckoo clock on the wall where all of a sudden you hear the click but no birdie pops out to heckle you one to twelve times as you gawk at it pondering why there's no 24-hour mode available or at least grateful that this particular clock lacks it...

I grew up with TOS. It's still good and iconic in its own rights as well as a taut militaristic style, but later warmed to TNG. It eventually was my favorite. DS9 came in, but the stylistic and tonal "soft reboot" for season 4 made me an avid viewer and when I looked back to revisit its earlier seasons, it wone me over as the best revival of the TOS format as it feels like a more edgy version of TOS, which is something TNG would and could not be. Indeed, TNG's style always came across as tweaks of the style used for "The Cage" with more cerebral stories.

I still seem to revisit TNG seasons 2-4 the most, but DS9 had some of the best stories and running arcs, and Sisko is my favorite captain because he's Kirk on steroids and having to make the biggest decisions that no other Starfleet commander had to deal with onscreen.

I was already a fan from watching TOS every night in reruns when I was a kid, but TNG was the first new TV Trek for me. I still revisit those two shows a good amount, but especially after being able to re-watch all of the shows via streaming I've finally realized that Deep Space Nine is my favorite. The characters, the acting, the writing, the semi-serialized storytelling...it all seems so ahead of it's time, and less of a product of its time.

I started watching Star Trek when it first aired on NBC. It was so much better than any Science Fiction episodic series at the time. ABC had Irwin Allen's: Time Tunnel, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and Land of the Giants. CBS had Lost in Space.
The original Star Trek is my favorite of that era, and it still holds up well today. It started all the rest of the different series in the Star Trek universe that followed.

I grew up with my favorite Star Trek and my favorite Star Wars but not my favorite Bond.

I do feel that growing up with TOS is kind of cheating in this context. ;)

Its complicated I grew up watching Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, some episodes of TOS, TNG, and VOY. But my favorite Star Trek is DS9 which I was able to watch recently on Paramount +

im OG growing up but from kid time but Im a sucker for Discovery Georgio OMG! but im very invested in that whole crew..... HOWEVER I just finished SNWs and holy crap im so hooked, (Spock in all forms eternally, its only logical after all lol) but i think this is due to how "closer to our time" it makes me feel (its Pike and the cooking amongst other things I think lol), also Im learning my beloved OGs on a deeper level. Ive been awaiting the Eugenics and WWIII 'shows' for eons~ I need to see the how and why, ya know?
We really do need begining to space covered!

I started out with TOS and loved it and saw many OG films in the theaters but I did watch the premier episode of TNG and enjoyed it enough but was still too attached to TOS. I gave TNG another chance and it ended up being my favorite. Though, I still love TOS. Great memories. That said I think TOS had the better films.

I grew up mostly with Voyager. It was always on the air and my dad was a big Trekkie, so he wanted me to get into it. After that, I saw TNG. It quickly became my favourite up until I first watched DS9. I would say that Voyager has actually fallen pretty far down my list at this point, although I definitely have nostalgia for it as the thing I watched with my dad.
