i went to a wedding last year where the grooms "clansmen" all came in kilts. except none of them were actually clansmen, they were larpers. i dont know what they larped, but they did it in kilts.

It's really very dependent on the individual. Shorter, stocky men carry off kilts much better than tall, thin men. If you're somewhere in between then it's just luck of the draw as to whether it works or not.

I'd probably wear a kilt before I wore lederhosen, if that means anything to anyone. But I don't ever see myself in either. Mainly because you either have to be in the proper context to wear them, or not at all self-conscious about it if you're not.

However, I do like a nice plaid. Some of those tartans are sharp looking.
