Is the Doctor the great manipulator?

Yet there was rumour about another big "gang up" of baddies in this series against the Doctor. Isn't that something they did before with the Pandorica?

I haven't heard any rumors regarding the return of Gallifrey this season but if it were to return then another gathering ala "The Time Of The Doctor" wouldn't be out of line.

I was thinking more a gang up like the end of season 5.. That was just silly.

I think it was interesting that all those races who were (more or less) blood enemies were able to unite in a common cause born out of fear. It might have been interesting to see this united front of fear materialize in "The Time Of The Doctor" instead of just The Daleks being the last mutant driven tanks standing.

No that Pandorica two parter didn't do a thing for me... I liked 11 but not that particular pair of episodes..

The Doctor escaping the Pandorica and then going back in time to arrange his escape reminded me too much of Bill & Ted.

While Ten did not kill the Family of Blood, in Human Nature/The Family of Blood. His methods of imprisoning them and by extension making them immortal was disturbingly cruel.

I really enjoyed what he did to them. But I am cruel, so there's that.

I also liked that two parter...

Didn't he have one of them imprisoned in an attic inside the TARDIS?

Nope

Father was trapped in unbreakable chains

Mother was trapped in the event horizon of a collapsing galaxy

Son waa made into a scarecrow to watch over England's fields

Daughter was tapped in every mirror, you might catch a glimpse of her from time to time.

But you should be careful of what you wish for.

Ah thanks my memory on those was a bit foggy.

Ah.... "The Shakespeare Code"

That's the one. He puts something inside a room that looks like an attic in the TARDIS... I think something to do with the witches..

Yes, he traps the Carrionites in a globe, and says; "I've got a nice attic in the TARDIS where this lot can scream for all eternity," but we don't see it.

Why keep the Carrionites in the TARDIS?

Dump them into a star, or strand them somewhere at the end of time..

I wonder if there are any other things wandering the halls since it's so big? Wasn't there a story that there's a group of Cybermen wandering around inside the TARDIS?

Earthshock. But they were dealt with. My memory of it's fuzzy, but Lawrence Miles' Interference two-book story left a couple of Saudi soldiers wandering around inside the TARDIS. I don't know if they were ever mentioned again.

After being alive for so many hundreds of year, he's learned how people work. He may not manipulate them intentionally, but he certainly can.

It would be weird for them not to appear. They've become somewhat of a staple in Moffat's universe.
