Is superman strong enough to rip off his own arm?

I'm sorry but this question is meant to be one of those logical questions. You know, like this one:

Can God make a rock so heavy that not even he can lift it?

Think about that one!

That thought occurred to me only after I started thinking about the question. But my question was inspired by another source.

If anyone reads japanese manga, there is a series called HunterXHunter. In it, there is a character called the Ant King, who is basically superman in strength and durability. But there is one scene where he rips off his own arm without showing too much effort. That is what got me started thinking about this question.

Considering that when he's using his superstrength, even when struggling at max 'power,' his limbs don't rip off on their own... it's a safe wager to say he couldn't do it.

I never bought Superman "shaving" with his heat vision using a mirror. The geometry of it would just be too complex even accepting Superman's super-brain. In my own, personal, mind Superman was either sent to Earth with a shaving kit tucked away in the ship (thoughtfully packed by his mother "just in case") and that shaving kit is just as changed by the journey as Superman is. Or he shaves with a standard razor he makes and he laces the blade with some-type-of kryptonite (sort of like diamond-tipped saw blades) that can cut the hairs on Superman without him experiencing the harming effects of kryptonite.

I prefer the idea that his living cells alone have the super-strength/durability so the dead hair would be easily cut with a standard razor and without him having to worry about nicking himself.

Superman's hair would get burnt off all the time when he was in an intense fire or within a huge firery explosion if his hair was not super.

I have a better question. Why would Superman want to rip his own arm off? To beat the bad guys with? Sounds a little redundant to me.

Superman IV? What's that? I must have blocked that freakish memory.

I don't know how it works after they changed his origin story to that tree-hugging hippie pinko communist bullshite a few years back, but it use to be that his invulnerability was a forcefield that extend a few millimeters past his skin.

This would be why he has to shave and why his cape always gets destroyed, but does not explain why he doesn't have a crew cut.

Also, when Doomsday killed him even more years back, his body remained invulnerable and regenerated his wounds for weeks after his death. It was stated in the Big Explanation story afterward that this effect would have eventually worn off if his soul did not return to his body (and also because it was not being exposed to solar radiation).

This means Clark must have to dust his apartment at very regular intervals though. Dead hair, skin, and other bits all floating around, not decaying for weeks, months, or maybe even years.
