Elizabeth Banks has been in a lot of stuff, you just probably didn't notice since either she wasn't the lead (the second wife in Seabiscuit, the obligatory love interest in Invincible, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) or it was a movie nobody saw (Meet Bill, Slither). Now her career is really taking off.

She was also a GBOW in 2006 and took a severe thumping.

I think that it would be okay with Mary Jane in it as a character but not as Peter's love interest since their arc seems to have run their course. One of my problems with Spider-Man 3 was we never really got a resolution to their relationship...are they friends, lovers, engaged, what? They need to move on in 4 and establish Peter with another woman like Bank's Betty or Howard's Gwen (which I think they should have used right off the bat in Spider-Man, not necessarily played by Howard of course).

I have no problem with the Betty Brant romance as an angle for Spidey 4/5, especially if I can't have Black Cat. I'm not a Dunst hater but it is time to further explore more of Peter's romances and I think sending MJ to L.A. or Europe as they did in the comics is the best way to give us Banks/Brant and/or Black Cat in Spidey 4-5 and still have MJ around...just out of the way.

Dude, it's mega obvious that Rachel Dawes is the new Catwoman and it's been a fix since the first movie.

If they pull that nugget out of their ass though, does that mean Sam can say that Betty has always been the Black Cat? And superbly, that would allow Liz to slip between hair colours through the movies course.
