Don't you think he was kinda abusing his powers when he brought Lazarus back to life and not every other person who's died ever?
You asked: "What does one have to do with the other?".I didn't equate/compare the two. I asked do past, present or future "trangressions" somehow negate an act of heroism. If a self admitted drug addict saved the lives of several people, are they not a hero? Does one cancel out the other?Ira Hayes doesn't have a pre-teen or teenage fan club. What does one have to do with the other? Is Ira Hayes not a hero because he was an alchoholic?
How do you even compare a soldier of war to a musical pop star?
I would think hundreds of parents would take issue with their kids admiring someone with a admitted drug habit and referring to her as a hero. I would think that's easy to figure out without asking the question how does it relate.

That's called comparing.
Your question and example of "transgressions" doesn't even relate to the topic at hand of Lady Gaga being a hero as a role model.

Your implication was that since Gaga was/is abusing cocaine she could not be a hero.
I think she is just a flash in the pan, but I've been wrong before. I am not really an authority on the latest trends in pop music. What do you think of Lady Gaga? Is she a hero? Does she have enough talent to last a long time, or is she a flash in the pan?
It seems to me that she's the kind of star who has so little talent she has to get nakey on the cover of every magazine she can just to preserve her popularity. I don't know much about any rights she might be fighting for, but for God's sakes she can at least wear some pants and a t-shirt while she does so.

You don't have to like it, but no.

I feel like people who say she has no talent and that she should put some clothes on either 1) just don't like the KIND of music she does or 2.) Don't believe she writes and plays her own music or 3) are so put off by her sexuality (yes, in your face) don't give her a chance.
My wife HATES Lady Gaga...unless she doesn't know it's her when the song is on. Then she loves her. Until she finds out it's Lady Gaga's song she's enjoying, then she hates her again.

Believe it or not, I actually do not like her music! I do enjoy pop, techno and all that, but she actually isn't that good. Just IMO. And yes, I am "put off" by her sexuality as you put it. To me it seems like less of a statement than just a gimmick to convince male listeners to spend their money on her albums and shows and whatnot.

It didn't hinder the careers of two of her biggest inspirations, Madonna & Grace Jones. It seems to me that she's the kind of star who has so little talent she has to get nakey on the cover of every magazine she can just to preserve her popularity. she isn't quite as conventionally attractive as other pop stars.

You need to reread what I wrote.
I didn't say anything about she couldn't be a hero.
I asked those posting here in their opinion if her admitting that she does cocaine, would they still regard her as a hero.
I left the answer to that question up to each poster.
I myself never gave my own opinion on the situation or any implication there of.
Besides, I already answered your question(twice now) in regards to parents not wanting their children admiring someone with a drug problem. Parents didn't even want their children watching Pee-Wee's Playhouse after Paul Ruben's was caught masturbating in an adult theater. It relates because we're talking about a pop star with pre-teens as her fan base. If pre-teens regard her as a role model && hero, then it's very possable many of them will mimic everything she does.

My question isn't about parents' opinions or the behavior of Kids celebrities. It's about heroes and heroism. Is a heroic act negated by unrelated "bad behavior"? Its a general question, prompted by your query.
