Is it worth watching Unification 1 and 2 before 3?

I’d say. They are vastly superior to part 3. That scene with Data and Picard in the Klingon quarters is still hilarious

Spock disobeying orders
Hilarious that in the Menagerie Spock tells Pike he's never disobeyed him before. Then in Discovery what do we see? Pike ordering Spock to shut down the bizarre experiment to kill Michael so her red angel self will save her, and Spock disobeying.

To be fair, when Spock said "I have never disobeyed your orders before" to Pike in the Menagerie, Pike beeps "no".

By this logic you don't need to have seen the first part of any Trek two parter because they all have recaps. By your reasoning you don't need to see 'Best of Both Worlds 1' because 'Best of Both Worlds 2' recaps everything in the beginning.

And that's why these shows do recaps, In case someone decided to skip/didn't remember everything that happened in the previous episode,
or somehow missed part one.

Yes amazing isn't it, The makers of entertainment try to design it so that even if you missed something you won't be completely lost if you decide to just sit back and watch a part two of something.

In all honesty, The clip with Spock from TNG's "Unification II" Plus the exposition from Burnham about her brother, pretty much provides all the background you need to follow and enjoy the story in "Unification III".

Hell if you watch TNG's "Unification II"; when Sela says to Data, "And this is the Android I have come to respect in battle..."; You'd probably have many viewers going "WTF?"; And they probably wouldn't know they'd have to go back and watch TNG's "Redemption II" to make sense of that line; or go all the way back and watch, TNG's ""skin of evil", "Yesterday's Enterprise", and even TNG's "Redemption" to get the complete back story on Sela herself.
