Is it time to follow up/bring a conclusion to Enterprise?

Let alone a show set among them. I think the Rangers idea is a better one. I once thought that a Scooby Gang of ex Sect 31, Obsidian Order, Tal Shiar, etc, along with others could have an A-Team/Equalizer/Impossible missions force quality. But a bit like the Rangers in Picard. They dont work for a govt. I think there is a possibility there.

I just dont see that here.

A hard disconnect would be my preference. Have it be it's own thing, with a entirely different production team.

That would be my preference as well. Ideally, it should be. But I dont think that will happen. If something like this is to happen it will likely be connected to other events, and even more likely to take place under caporegime Alex Kurtzman even if a separate individual is named the day to day showrunner.

Enterprise ended after 4 seasons with a few loose ends not tied up, now there are numerous shows in development - is it time to bring back Scott Bakula and at least some of the Enterprise cast members and round things up?

Maybe, I'm just not as familiar with ENT as I should be, but which loose ends do you see? I've always felt, like the only real reason that was left is the same like in every other show: "What are the characters doing 'after this'?" I would have loved an appearence of T'Pol in DSC and I enjoyed the Archer-namedropping in STXI, but since they brought the TCW to a (lazy) end, for me, all the mysteries are "solved".

Yes, it's sad, that they never got the cance to show us the Romulan War in ENT (and I liked the idea, that the "shadow guy" could be a Romulan), but a) this story couldn't be told with the ENT characters anymore (aging anyone?) and b) even this is no real "loose end" in my terms, since the not-solved conflict with the Borg isn't really a loose term of TNG or VOY, too.

I always wanted to see a transition of their uniforms into "The Cage" uniforms, I would've loved to get more of TOS tech which was done so well in "In a Mirror, Darkly Part II" and embracing the advancements of the tech to come. As for a story? Bring on the Romulan War, but find some hope for a prosperous future for an alien race who will end up being important in the birth of the Federation. TBH the crap pile of re-imaginations of TOS done by DISCO would muddy the waters for a true ending for ENT; DISCO is canon but it looks a feels a lot more in line with JJTrek. I wouldn't be interested seeing Archer and crew transition to Michael Sarek's uniforms or anything else in that CBSALLACCESS matters.

It might be interesting to have a two-hour TV movie of the week that brings a satisfying conclusion to the various story threads of ENT.

In particular, perhaps Arik Soong could escape from prison and begin a rogue cybernetics project. He could be joined in this endeavor by yet another ancestor of a familiar Berman-era character, played by none other than the inimitable Brian Brophy. :techman:

Also to you this question: What threads would these be? Which ends are loose ends that have to be closed?

What was so awful about "The Cage" and it's production designs where it seems there's a obsession to erase it?
that has nothing to do with the Cage Era. Apart from the Maroon era, most trek uniforms seem to last a few years without minor modification. A decade or so with it.

These were for the Daedalus era, beginning 2160s. It seemed seemed reasonable that uniforms from the 2160s should resemble the uniforms of the 2150s, not the Cage uniforms of the 2250s, 90 years later. Although, they do contain a transition from ENT to TOS.

The timing is about right for an early Federation either Admiral or Ambassador Archer/Shran TV Movie. That or an early Federation miniseries. I don't think any of the cast is doing too much these days besides Bakula so it's not impossible.

Not going to happen. That ship has sailed.

Even if they did, why wouldn’t they just do a Star Trek: Columbia or some other show with the NX class and start over fresh.

I agree, that ship has sailed. A long time ago.

As a fan of Enterprise who would still rank it last amongst the 5 episodic shows, I have long thought that TATV one of the mist egregious errors in Trek history.

I would love for them to find a way to rectify it, somewhat.

The TOS movies made uo for TOS S3 and the inglorious end of the original series. Yesterday's Enterprise did a wonderful job in rectifying Yar's pointless death in TNG S1. Picard is off to a nice start redeeming Nemesis and not having that be the final note for Picard, Data, Riker, & Troi. Perhaps Worf, LaForge, & the Crushers will follow in S2.

Nothing can be done about Kirk's death in Generations.

That leaves the abomination that is the destruction of Vulcan in the Kelvin timeline and TATV. I am hoping the 4th Kelvin movie can get made to take care of the former.

Still, the Enterprise cast deserved a proper sendoff. The penultimate episode would have been a fine finale. Such a shame. Still, an aged T'Pol could still be kicking around in a S31/Pike show timeline. Maybe one episode or two?

I would like to at least see a Short Trek with some of the TOS actors. One final time. We wont have them for much longer.

Kirk is easy. Aside from alt time lines, I had a story where Q (who we learn has interacted with Kirk in the past) appears in the elevator with Kirk while he is going down to make the modification that will save the Ent-B, and pulls him out of that timeline. With the reassurance that, if he chooses, Q can return him to that place at the same moment he left. He then goes on for one final adventure. That part is a long story, but it would be easy to have Shatner Kirk again if they wanted.

With the Enterprise cast, I just dont see it. You can set a show in the 2170s and have some of them appear, like Admiral Archer. But not a story with them reuniting, like TMP.

I think people misunderstand the point of the Short Treks. They’re not a vehicle for bringing back old Trek actors. They’re meant to enhance the Trek shows CBS is currently producing. (That is, if ‘enhance’ is actually the right word, since several of the Short Treks are kind of pointless.)

They were originally asking Stewart to return as Picard for a Short Trek though...
