Well.....I've taken it better than I thought I would. Yeah I wanted the Rani to return but at least my favourite villain's returned. lol Still, it helps the episode was actually rather good this week!
Is it time to bring back the Master?

For a moment there I thought it might be Romana.
I don't think the events at The End Of Time constituted leaving the Master for dead. Also, the return to a classic-era Master persona is anachronistic. What about the drums, etc? I'm therefore wondering if this is a pre-Jacobi version.
I'm also wondering how she escaped Gallifrey (if at all) and if she finally has her own TARDIS again and, if so, how it compares to the Doctor's.

Though it wasn't necessarily a regeneration story at the time. Though the production team had a feeling Pertwee might leave at the end of season 11 and had this in mind when they came up with the idea for The Final Game, he didn't actually decide to leave until mid-way through production of Invasion of Dinosaurs (reportedly, he decided that as he couldn't decide, he'd ask the BBC for a massive payrise, and if they didn't say yes then that would make up his mind for him). By then, Delgado's death had meant any thought of a final story for the Master had been abandoned.
It's possible that the Master has fellow Time Lords who will help him, and this is how he left Gallifrey and every other instance where he seemed to have been destroyed.
