Is anyone hoping for alien species that showed up in VOY, DS9, and next generation?

Would Emony be the correct Dax for the DSC timeline? In DS9 'Trials and Tribble-ations' episode, Jadzia recalls Emony Dax going to Earth to judge a gymnastics competition and meets a young Leanard McCoy. Even if it is Emony, I don't see how a gymnast would fit in the story-line.

I would have loved to see a ST series taking place between TOS and TNG, this way the writers could explore the life of Curzon Dax.

.
We don't have firm dates for the Dax hosts, but the line in Trials would suggest it was Emony in this time period, yes.

I want to see more of the film series aliens like the genital knee cap guy from Trek VI.
Maybe he could be wearing shorts?

If Emony met McCoy while he was at medical school (Old Miss?), that would be twenty years before Discovery.

Didn't Dax say McCoy was still at university?

latest

The only Dax I want to see.

Any species that has a canon first contact date that is way after Discovery, I don't want to see.

I wonder if Discovery will have a first contact with known TNG/TOS species.
Or would that be too much fan service?

If the xindi don't appear I'll be disappointed. They fit perfectly into continuity and they're still fresh enough that they can be interesting.

Cardassians I'd like, we don't know when first contact actually was but do know of a cardassian poet on vulcan around this time.

Otherwise, I don't want forced appearance of borg or ferengei just for the sake of it at all.

Ferengi, in Discovery? I'm short one airlock to throw you out of.

I'd like to see more denobulans, maybe bajorans, trill is a good idea.

Two species I would love to see would be the Breen and the Zakdorn.

I agree Ketrick.

Perhaps not a story for every species that ever appeared, but some nice cameos of races could be interesting for variety.

I'd like a Star Trek show to acknowledge that four races started the Federation so at least have crew with Humans, Vulcans, Andorians and Tellarites and perhaps a Denobulan, assuming they joined decades later after Archer's era. Plus show whatever other aliens that are part of the Federation at that time. The culture is meant be the UFP not the how many non American humans can we show this week?

It occurred to me that Alpha Centaurians were never canonically listed as one of the founding members of the Federation when I honestly thought they were. All the others are there, Humans, Vulcans, Tellerites abd Andorians, but I always thought the AC's were considered the fifth founding race due to its nearest proximity with Earth. Guess that one got lost in the sauce because they were too closely resembling of Humans and difficult to differentiate. Zephram Cochraine was supposed to be AC but that all got buggered up in First Contact, so maybe that's when the decanonization occurred.

Definitely yes to more aliens, but also more non-American humans. Americans are heavily overrepresented as well. By my count among human main characters whose nationality we know, 11 are American, 8 are from a different country, and 2 are off-worlders. There should be a lot more humans born in different countries and different planets.

There's only 1 actual Asian (Sato) among the main characters compared to 11 Americans! I mean I accept that WWIII decimated Asia so the continent won't be as heavily populated as it is now but that ratio is still way out of whack.

I'd like to see contemporary versions of some of the more exotic aliens, like the Aurellians, the Nasat, maybe some Arcturian clones, a Caitian, and whatever Vilix'pran was on DS9. ...ones that were previously too costly to show.

Count me another not wanting to see more shoehorned later races, like the Ferengi, Borg, etc. Or the Romulans or the Cardassians. Do I need to say no Malons or Talaxians? Let the series/episodes that featured them be special. Be what they are.

There's no need for any of that when there are countless minor races barely seen or only ever mentioned that you could take practically anywhere, let alone create new ones.
