Is anybody watching 'The Deep' on Netflix?

I've just binged watched the first two seasons of this show, and think that it's pretty good and transformative in all of the currently cool ways without hammering its point into its viewers heads.

What is The Deep? Here's what it's all about: The Deep (2015 TV series)

IMHO, I think that this animated series (and a few other favorites of mine) are better than animated shows that everybody's going nuts over for being truly progressive, like this one.

Caught the first episode last night. It kind of reminds me of Miles from Tomorrowland mixed with The Secret Saturdays.

I may catch a couple more episodes but I likely won't binge it.

I love this show (and one other animated sci-fi show on Netflix) because this show has a mixed- race family (father Afro-American [I think], mother Asian, and the eldest daughter/youngest son a mix of both), without feeling the need to hammer everybody's head about that fact in the media. Yet, this show gets no attention from the media compared to the crappy overrated crapfest eveybody and their brother/sister is going nuts over that I linked to.

It's an Australian produced show, so I assumed the father was Maori, rather than African American... But I could be wrong.

Which crapfest in particular? There are several by my count.

It’s been on BBC for a few years now, kids like it. The last time we went to Blackpool Aquarium there was a The Deep theme, and the house still has promotional stickers all over the walls.

I haven’t paid much attention to it but it seems inoffensive enough.

I just can’t help thinking about the Tim Vine song whenever I see the word Deep. Much deeper than you think.
