Iron Man 3 Discussion/Photos/ETC.

Well the key difference being that Stark's element glows all on it's own complete with tiny little lightening bolts coming out of it (like a couple of millimetres) and Vibranium is a dull grey metal.

War Machine without the Gatling gun? I call bullshit on that one!

Well, it did kind of get cut in half during the last movie so maybe he didn't feel like replacing it, it did stick out a bit too much. The FN-2000 mounts in the arms are enough.

I hope this is part of a misinformation campaign.
Rhodey in the Iron Patriot suit just doesn't sit as well with me.
War Machine is just too cool an established identity(even if the name wasn't directly used in the movie).

This concept plunges into depths of stupidity that Bayformers only barely peered into.

War Machine's design in IM2 is already patriotic, because it's treated like any other USAF aircraft. It's not just painted grey and black, but it includes the USAF heritage and modern logos PLUS the tail code for the 445th Fight Test Squadron, which operates out of Edwards Air Force Base (i.e. the base seen and ID'ed as such in the film).

When the POTUS or anyone from the State Department require AF escort, do they bother to repaint their fighters like Starscream's original toy first? :scream: This is a bigger fuck you to the Armed services than what the GOP's imagines are Michael Moores wet dreams.

:wtf: breath dude, it's not real you know, plus it's...dun dun dun, a suit of armour, not a frikkin' plane.

And is the deal between Marvel and Sony/Fox that detailed that adamantium is securely tied to X-Men? Seems like that metal would be "public domain" as far as the various Marvel movie characters are concerned, don't see why it'd only be latched to X-Men and thus only Fox.(?)

Essentially, if it's mentioned or seen in a FOX-produced Marvel film, FOX holds the rights to it from there on out (which is one of the reasons there were so many fucking worthless and pointless cameos in The Last Stand and X-Men Origins). Marvel has to stay away from basically anything even remotely mutant-related, and adamantium is pretty closely tied to Wolverine.

Everything mutant related is owned and belonged to Fox...although as an article recently pointed out, Wanda and Pietro might be used by both studios.

If you scroll down on this page, you'll see a photo where the gun is visibile on his back (at least I think that's the one you mean):

Also no way that armor will be used by a villain. It just looks too damn SILLY. It should be obvious Tony will make a joke about it the moment he sees that thing.

I don't see it being around for more than a scene or two though. It'll be very easy to repaint it back to the gray and black armor that we all know and love.

Those characters are part of the package of rights whether they appear in cameos or not. The producers include the cameos because they think fans get a kick out of them.
