I know a guy who got a perfect SAT score, went to college and got all sorts of computing degrees... and when last I saw him he had three kids and had been working in a video store for 10 years. (Now that video stores are all gone, I have no idea what he does. We lost touch.)
I know another guy who has a bona-fide supergenius IQ (his gifted teacher actually made him take it twice because she thought he'd cheated), but somewhere around his freshman year in college he just stopped caring, dropped his engineering major, and today he's somebody's secretary.
So yeah, in the great scheme of things, IQ alone means precisely dick.
