Iommi Martin

Facebook rumours are popping up that Tony Iommi and Tony Martin are working together after the Sabbath farewell tour winds up.

Martin's said before that he'd like to work with Iommi again, just not as Sabbath. It's a dream come true for me - anyone else excited ?

I thought the albums the two Tonys made as Sabbath were among the best of the Sabs post-Dio output. Excited might be putting it strongly but I'd certainly be interested in anything they may do together again.

Eternal Idol, Headless Cross, Tyr, Cross Purposes & Forbidden. All great albums.
Tony's blues roots really show through on many of the solos on these albums.
I would love to hear new music from these two, just like when Tony and Glenn Hughes worked together again on the DEP Sessions & Fused (aka: Eighth Star).

From the title I thought that this would be about a guitar.

I know a guy who built a custom lefty SG that Iommi has played on tour and in videos, so the assumption isn't all that far off.

^ Ha, I can see where you're coming from there. Actually, Tony does have a signature guitar but IIRC it's an epiphone SG, not a Martin!

Your friend must be quite the luthier to have Iommi as a customer.
