Introduction of FC style uniforms

Does beg a few questions though..

If we are to assume that the main purpose of replacing Bashir was to ultimately cripple the Romulan/Klingon/Starfleet flets by sending Bajors star to go super-nova; then this begs the question how much of a free hand the changeling actually had?

For a long-term 'sleeper' mission like this, there would inevitably be situations in which Bashir-ling could take actions that would aid the Dominions plans. Of course, we assume that he would be unable to contact the rest of the Founders to seek advice/orders, so Bashir-ling would therefore be forced to act on his own iniative.

How much of a remit do you think Bashir-ling had? Actions allowing Sisko to die on the operating table? Or allowing the infant-changeling t die? Do you think that Bashir-ling could have taken actions as they arose that assisted teh Dominion's aims? Or for pivotal events would he have had to wait for instructions?

The station would have had Changeling agents (in semi-regular contact with the Dominion) aboard the station long before they inserted "Bashir". How else could they have the sort of detailed intelligence they demonstrate in "Heart of Stone"?

One would assume that "Bashir" was tasked with a set of high-risk missions that would culminate in exposure, while a number of true sleepers observed from the shadows. "Bashir" would probably have known going in that the Founders would soon send the baby to test Odo, and that Dukat would invite the Jem'Hadar to Cardassia. So all his actions could have been carefully orchestrated, allowing him to keep his trustworthy cover while still engaging in the high-risk operation of making Odo turn back to a Changeling.

The brain surgery with Sisko would have come as a surprise, though, and I doubt "Bashir" had any chance to negotiate with his superiors on how to deal with it. So he probably did his best to help Sisko as default. But if he heard the crazed officer muttering something about Bajor's future in his delirium, surely "Bashir" would see the opportunity to whisper more of these "Prophetic messages" in his ear and mess with his judgement...

Terrible Uniforms.

I loved them. They are my favourite uniform. They look cool.

Agreed. I love them also. Best uniforms in Trek.

In fact, they might just be the greatest contribution to the franchise the TNG movies ever made.
