And she's Nana Visitor's aunt!
WHAT!!?
True! I remember first learning this during DS9's original run in the early days of the Web. Charisse was Visitor's aunt by marriage.

We covered that in a piece for WhatCulture that they made into a video (link). There's not a lot more to say about it except that Eddie Egan told us they couldn't get the kid to do what they wanted in the transporter room so that scene was scrapped.
Man, the TOS movies didn't have good luck with child actors, did they?We covered that in a piece for WhatCulture that they made into a video (link). They apparently never got usable footage. The good thing is that the footage might still find a way to be used perhaps, in a time travel or holodeck find…as records. Cut scenes can always be on multiple screens with a character mentioning them in passing.

I'm sorry, are we saying there was a kid among Khan's people who was on the Reliant and got blowed up when the Genesis device blew?
One was intended. One did not happen.I'm sorry, are we saying there was a kid among Khan's people who was on the Reliant and got blowed up when the Genesis device blew?

As comparisons, Alexander was 20 when he became King. Napoleon was 30 when he took over France. Both "young-ish", but not young teens. Khan was probably one of the oldest superhumans at about 40-45 in 1993. In Space Seed, we see only 8 of Khan's closest followers; all adults but none older than Khan. Later in TWOK, we see the only survivors; about 12-14 twenty-something men and women who must have children during Space Seed. These children could have been either a newer generation of bred superhumans, or simply the offspring of the older superhumans (or both since selective breeding does involve ... breeding). (The never-seen children must have been 3 sections down in the junior quarters on the Botany Bay.)KIRK: This Khan is not what I expected of a twentieth century man.
SPOCK: I note he's making considerable use of our technical library.
KIRK: Common courtesy, Mister Spock. He'll spend the rest of his days in our time. It's only decent to help him catch up. Would you estimate him to be a product of selective breeding?
SPOCK: There is that possibility, Captain. His age would be correct. In 1993, a group of these young supermen did seize power simultaneously in over forty nations.
KIRK: Well, they were hardly supermen. They were aggressive, arrogant. They began to battle among themselves.
SPOCK: Because the scientists overlooked one fact. Superior ability breeds superior ambition.
KIRK: Interesting, if true. They created a group of Alexanders, Napoleons.
SPOCK: I have collected some names and made some counts. By my estimate, there were some eighty or ninety of these young supermen unaccounted for when they were finally defeated.
KIRK: That fact isn't in the history texts.
SPOCK: Would you reveal to war-weary populations that some eighty Napoleons might still be alive?
There was no indication whatsoever of children aboard the Botany Bay when the Enterprise found it.
