Internet Video recorder?

Hey,
Im looking for a good internet video recorder. My old man says he used to have a nice one where he never even had to open an actual program up he just right clicked and selected record.
Id like to be able to record certain videos from youtube and other places. It really sucks when a video gets taken down and you cant find it again.
So what are some rccommendations for a good (free) internet video recorder?

Real Player 11 is pretty good. It records well.

There's an add-on to Firefox that allows you to download any YouTube or similar video in .flv format, which VLAN plays just fine. Just right click it and save it.

DownloadHelper is a good Firefox add on to download YouTube (and other) videos. Then you can use Riva to play them or Format Factory to convert them to another format
