Interesting Facts About You That Few People Know About

Very interesting revelations, folks. I imagine the least obvious facts about ourselves relate mostly to our mental and physical health or condition, and there's nothing wrong with it that I can see, as everyone appears to be fairly healthy and well balanced.

A couple more things:

* I love karaoke. :D (Well, I guess a few friends know.) I have this Magic Karaoke microphone at home, and although I haven't used it in a long while, my family and I occasionally have fun with it. I used to be really conscious about singing in front of other people, but the mike is a real confidence builder. No, I could never sing in front of complete strangers.

* I love to dance, and given the opportunity, would love to do it more often. I've gone to a nightclub in the area with family and friends, and what I like about that particular club is the age range of the people going there (mostly in their 30s - 50s). I also like the variety of music the DJ plays, from Rock & Roll '60s, Disco '70s, Rockin '80s to modern Pop/Rock. My relatives and I can dance to anything and everything they play--heavy metal, swing, Cha Cha Cha, hip-hop, etc. It's such a liberating experience. :)

When I was nine a documentary film crew spent three months with my family for an HBO documentary produced and narrated by Gloria Steinem. I was in my awkward chubby phase to boot. Shortly thereafter Heather Locklear starred as my mother in a made-for-TV movie "inspired" by my family.

not being funny, but why?

The documentary was about multiple personality disorder and child abuse. My mom had MPD.

I love swords and knives and have a small collection.

I own a British Pattern 1907 sword bayonet.

I use it as a ritual sword.

Three katanas, three rapiers, a claymore, broadsword, couple of gladii, some spears and other bits and bobs...

I collect prop weaponry mainly from SF, so it colours my airsoft purchases to ones from those kinds of shows, or which are used as the basis for movie props.

In tests I can hear up into the 21.1 kilohertz range - and this is at the age of 40, definitely not normal (the human aural range shrinks with age from about 8, and 21.1 is above the accepted limit to start with)

I've died twice.

I just can't abide socks with no shoes - I have to be barefoot or have shoes on with or without socks. I hate seeing it in others too.

I've made a study of Ancient Egyptian fighting styles, and arranged museum demo/re-enactments of it.

The documentary won an Emmy.

I was a DJ in a skating rink during the disco era. I'm not proud of it.

 and you guys say TNZ is bad ...
Interesting fact about Jenee:

She uses humor to distract us from realizing that she didn't disclose any interesting facts about herself! :p ;)

I'm a shy person and often don't know what to say. So, I use humor to make friends. ... and then I bore them to death whenever they visit.

I suffer from depression. When I'm at my worst I feel that it's stealing my life from me. Some days, I contemplate suicide several times a day. It's only recently that I've been able to tell my husband and some members of my family how badly affected I am. Sometimes I find it unbearable to be out of the house and in the company of other people.

I can identify with this. Let me know if you ever want to talk. I do hope that you seek professional help and improve your well-being. You're a lovely person and there's no reason for you to struggle with your life when it is a condition that can be treated.

And on a completely unrelated note...

I find men snogging to be a total turn-on.

I can also identify with this. :D

well one thing that very few people knew about was that my partner broke one of my ribs and two fingers play fighting a while back.
i was too embarrised to say she did it so blamed it on a trip at work.
ooo and i'm scared of snakes and worms

The oddest compliment I've ever recieved was 'You have great child bearing hips'.

To put this in context, I'm male :wtf:

Myself, my mom and my younger brother are American, my dad is British and my older brother is Canadian.

I've dyed my hair pretty much every colour you can think of.

I love green. I mean, to the point where my shampoo, toothbrush, mouthwash, all of it has to be green.

I can waltz and kick out a quickstep if inspired.
I rode one of the highest horses at Hickstead in the schools championship (he was 18.3 hands)
At 17 I was offered calender work.
I can bend my elbow backwards.
I know sign language.
