I know there was some, particularly with Troi and Riker at the end, but what would have been awesome would have been a crossover. something similar but different to "Yesterdays Enterprise", with the NX and the D meeting up would have been so awesome. Also, why didn't Q put in an appearence?

that would have been contrived.

That would have been lame, but it wouldn't surprise me if B&B were planning one.

Why lame, Q was obviously interested in Starfleet, i mean look at his Picard fetish, and seeing how he could be anywhere at any time, why would he not have gone back to get a look at where it all began. and as for contrived, perhaps but sometimes that's all you want.

VOY really ruined Q, and to be honest there were more than enough references to the TNG era as it was. Thankfully DS9 only used him once.

If they had to have a tie in with TNG, I would have preferred a prequel to "A Matter of Time" with Berlinghoff Rasmussen.

I think there are some possibilities. For example, what if they found Data's head before the TNG characters did from [name of episode here] and discovered to save history they had to replace the head in exactly the same location they found it while the TCW baddies (I still think that should've been the Romulans) were trying to find it and dig it up. What if they entered the space in Tholian Web (TOS) and saw Kirk suspended in time, interacting with him. (Impossible with Shatner being so old, but it could provide for some interesting character development for Archer.)

I think whatever episode they chose, it shouldn't have involved the Borg or Q. And I think the hard part is it might be best, despite the suggestion above, for them to stray from time travel episodes. One of the things that ENT did that became cumbersome was using time travel as a fix.

Yeah, but only due to thier time travel being rubbish, the temporal cold war sucked imo

Also, why didn't Q put in an appearence?

Q only really worked when he was working opposite Picard, he was the perfect foil to Picard's seriousness. Against Sisko he was just annoying and out of place, and don't get me started on how bad he was against Janeway. Q verses Archer would have been the worst of them all.

Q was Picard's nemesis, all attempts to bring him into the other shows failed.

I mostly agree about the rubbish. I think the TCW could've been great, if done right.

For the most part, I agree, except for the part about Janeway. I thought Q worked great against her, even better han against Picard.

Except for the very misguided TCW and some elements of the Xindi story, ENT, for the most part, had it's feet planted firmly on the ground -- so to speak (especially by season 4).

The mercurial and omnipotent Q would have been even more out of place on the show than he was on DS9. By season 4 under Manny's guidance, ENT had re-cast itself as possibly the most deadly serious and gritty of all the spinoffs. Q's magic and whimsy would just not have fit into what ENT had become.
