I go to sites that talk about whatever fan genre is out and about making news, and I understand implicitly that projects change, get canceled, and some rumors are just that. I do not need the site staff, whose efforts I do appreciate, playing frat-boy. It's like from the last few days of March to the first few of April, 'getting' someone is more important than the rep of the site.
It's a lesser version of when Ali Velshi got pranked on CNN about the snow closing Newark Airport a few weeks ago : Great that he took it so well, great fun for the prankster--not so much for the fool who turned off his set before the reveal and changed their plans immediately.
