Kirstie lost so much weight, she's gonna play alt-timeline Saavik's mother in ST12! Oh, and the long-awaited Godzilla vs. Gamera fight is slated for 2014! What's more, MJ Fox and Chris Lloyd have signed to voice CGI Marty and Doc in BTTF4! Oh, and did I mention that, in a complicated deal to meet anti-trust standards, Disney bought DC from WB, and Quesada is out at Marvel as a result? Finally, the big one : Based on what she called 'a lingering thread of an idea', JKR is now working on HP8?
It should be out about the same time as the 1966 Batman DVD set.

I go to sites that talk about whatever fan genre is out and about making news, and I understand implicitly that projects change, get canceled, and some rumors are just that. I do not need the site staff, whose efforts I do appreciate, playing frat-boy. It's like from the last few days of March to the first few of April, 'getting' someone is more important than the rep of the site.

It's a lesser version of when Ali Velshi got pranked on CNN about the snow closing Newark Airport a few weeks ago : Great that he took it so well, great fun for the prankster--not so much for the fool who turned off his set before the reveal and changed their plans immediately. Certain times, I just expect info---not 'The Big Fun'. Harmless? Yeah--also Pointless.

Agreed. But great fodder for your fanfic mash-ups, wouldn't you say?

Thanks, Mistral. But my twisted imagination is source enough.

On a serious note, this time of year, nearly a decade ago, veteran ASCer Trillseeker took her own life. The news fell close enough to 4/1 to have some, including myself, doubt the veracity of this tragedy at first. People, leave these things to the office or the sitcoms.

I'm sorry I am not up to my jargon, but what is ACRer?

I am never to fond of these 'pranks' either, a couple years ago, I saw some supposed movie development deals that actually had me excited. I was pretty disappointed to find out it was a lame joke.

Sorry. ASC stands for alt.startrek.creative, a newsgroup that used to be a major fanfic grouping.
