Indiana Jones IV Soundtrack Cover Art

Not as bad as the terrible editing that excludes, for no particular reason, parts of the finale to Attack of the Clones (the edit is so egregious it's audible on the album).

Blech.

I hated the album version of the Revenge Of The Sith opening battle; where the hell were the war drums? That was best part.

I did kind of like how it went right from the March to the score, different from any previous Star Wars album, but I did listen to the score before seeing the film, and was disappointed when it was different upon seeing the movie.

Admittedly, retrospectively, I think the war drums were a pretty good addition and I would have liked them on the soundtrack; perhaps in a later, expanded release of the score, a la John Williams' score for Superman?

If wishes were wampas... :)

Seems unlikely we'd get an expanded score for ROTS when we didn't get one for AOTC.

I think the main reason for that is that Williams re-used a LOT of the music from TPM again and again in sequences in Eps 2 & 3 (particularly and most noticeably in 3).

I always thought the music re-use was more evident in AOTC than ROTS, but I've only seen the latter film once, and once was enough.

That said, even with the abundance of re-used music, there's still quite a bit of original material in both AOTC and ROTS that remains unreleased. I'm hoping for a giganto-super-deluxe box set of all six scores in their complete form at some point.
